Bishnu Karki Kunwar is 24 years old and a nurse. She was born in Arnakot Deurali of Nisikhola Rural Municipality , Bahglung, Gandaki Province Nepal. She is married and has two children. Her Husband is a teacher. She lives in Arnakot Deurali and works in the Health Post there. Bishnu was educated in the village school. After finishing her NEB (grade 11/12 board exams) she went to Baglung for an 18-month ANM nursing course, which was sponsored by the Arnakot community. Now she is working in the community health post as a nurse and midwife. This year she is hoping to complete the Specialist Birthing Assistant (S.B.A) training. NEPAL-ease have sponsored her to do this.
Bishnu states: ‘I am so glad to work in the partnership between NEPAL-ease and Arnakot Community Health post. We have got a great support from NEPAL-ease and helped us to grow. We expect that we will get more support in the future serve the patients and people who come in this health centre to take health service. I counsel the people and give good health service suggestions. I provide health service to help pregnant women and babies by visiting them in their homes’.
