Prem Bahadur Kunwar is 41 years old and a former high school teacher. Since 2013, he has worked as a Project Manager of Karma Flights Foundation Nepal. He is one of the founding members of this Pokhara based education and health charity . He was born in Arnakot Deurali of Nisikhola Rural Municipality , Bahglung, gandaki Province Nepal. He is married with two children and his wife is studying to be a teacher in the teacher training college/University. He lives in Pokhara with his mother, wife and kids.
Prem went to three different schools to complete his basic education back in the village. After finishing SLC (grade 10 board exams) he taught in the village school for a year. Then for higher education, he went to Pokahara in 1997 and started intermediate studies. He holds an M.A. in English language and literature from TU, Nepal. Prem has received trekking guide training and is a guide. He has also obtained a 2 year teacher training course from KPZ University, The Netherlands and runs refresher teacher training courses for Nepali teachers working in the schools.
